A droopy brow can overshadow the eyes and make it appear as if you're always scowling. Brow lift surgery with Las Vegas facial plastic surgeons Dr. Goesel Anson or Dr. Terrence Higgins can elevate the brow and smooth the forehead for a refreshed look that appears natural.
If you're looking for a plastic surgeon in Las Vegas to perform a brow lift, request a consultation online to meet with one of our surgeons, or call our office at (702) 822-2100 to schedule an appointment.

Is a Brow Lift Right for Me?
The best way to determine whether a brow lift is an appropriate treatment path for you is to come in for a consultation. In some cases, excess eyelid skin causes the eyes to look hooded and aged. In those cases, eyelid surgery is typically recommended. Men and women who come to our Las Vegas practice seeking a brow lift often have low, heavy eyebrows and deep forehead wrinkles that make them appear older than they would like. Good candidates for any surgery should be healthy and have realistic goals about their results.
For a more significant rejuvenation, our surgeons may combine your brow lift with other facial plastic surgery procedures such as a facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery, or a chin implant, as well as restore facial volume with fat transfer or dermal filler injections.
What Our Patients Are Saying
"Dr. Anson, I appreciate your genuine sense of warmth, professionalism and skill."
How Is a Brow Lift Performed?
The specific brow lift procedure used depends on the assessment made during your consultation with either Dr. Higgins or Dr. Anson. Your facial bone structure, skin quality, brow position, hairline, and other considerations are all accounted for before deciding on the procedure best suited to your needs.
Brow lift options include endoscopic, coronal, lateral, and anterior:
Endoscopic Brow Lift
An endoscope is a thin fiber-optic tube connected to a video screen that allows a surgeon to perform a brow lift using small incisions made in the scalp behind the hairline. Endoscopic brow lifts are the most common type of forehead lift we perform at our Las Vegas practice. Using the endoscope, your surgeon can manipulate the underlying tissue and muscles to raise your forehead and brow without removing any skin or scalp.
Coronal Brow Lift
This is considered the traditional, somewhat old-fashioned forehead lift procedure. It uses an incision across the entire scalp (crown). It allows a surgeon to lift a severely drooping brow, adjust muscles, remove skin, and redrape the scalp to a higher position. It is more invasive than an endoscopic brow lift, but it provides a dramatic, long-lasting result. However, it can cause permanent numbness on the top of the head and may not be a good option if you already have a receding hairline.
Lateral Brow Lift
Some men and women come to our office concerned that their outer eyebrows are sagging, although the area of the brow closer to the center of the foreheads is in a good position. They are good candidates for a lateral brow lift, which is similar to an endoscopic brow lift and can provide excellent results. Two small incisions are made in the temple area of the hairline, and the position of the outer brows is adjusted.
Anterior Brow Lift
Patients who need to significantly elevate their central brow, but who already have a high hairline, can benefit from an anterior hairline brow lift. The central part of the incision is made along the hairline, the forehead is elevated, and excess skin is removed. This procedure can leave a more visible scar. Some patients choose to undergo hair transplantation to camouflage the scar, and others simply change their hairstyle.

What Can I Expect During Recovery?
Recovery after a brow lift will depend on the surgical technique used and whether your surgery included other procedures. Recovery after an endoscopic brow lift is typically quicker than with a traditional brow lift approach.
Prescription pain medication typically controls any discomfort. You will likely have swelling and bruising of the eyebrow area and upper eyelids, which will dissipate within 1 to 2 weeks. This is likely when you will feel ready to go out in public and return to work. A small amount of swelling and temporary numbness is normal and can take several months to completely resolve.
Speaking from Experience
"Of all the procedures we offer, my patients are most anxious about the brow lift. They will point out celebrities or people they know who are overly elevated. They will invariably tell me they do not want to have that 'deer in the headlights' look. That certainly isn't what I want for them. A perpetually surprised, quizzical, or puzzled look results when the inner and central eyebrows are overly elevated relative to the outer brow." – Dr. Goesel Anson
