Andrew G. Silver, MD joined the team in 2017, and adds a new perspective to this esteemed group of aesthetic surgeons. Dr. Silver is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and specializes in facial procedures including, facelifts, eyelid surgeries, and facial implants. He is truly dedicated to achieving excellence, and demonstrated his commitment by completing an advanced aesthetic surgery fellowship at The Plastic Surgery Center, in Sacramento, California, a program certified by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). There he spent an entire year reinforcing all types of aesthetic plastic surgery, with an emphasis on facial rejuvenation. This is the highest possible level of training for an aesthetic surgeon, and was in addition to his previous six years of plastic surgery training. He has performed more than 1500 aesthetic procedures prior to joining AEH.

The doctors of Plastic Surgery Associates met Dr. Andrew G. Silver in 2015 and recognized his unique talents when he rotated at the practice during his residency. They then kept track of his progress and jumped at the chance to bring him into their group. They were impressed not only with his intelligence and surgical skills, but also with his ethical character, which is reflected in his approachable and compassionate style of care. Interestingly, Dr. Silver turned down multiple offers for a career in professional baseball so that he could follow his passion for plastic surgery.

Dr. Andrew G. Silver has stood out as an exceptional physician many times along his career path. He excelled at the St. Louis University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), the honor medical society reserved for the top 10% of medical students in the country. He then became the first St. Louis University medical student in 15 years to be accepted into a prestigious plastic surgery residency. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Nevada and scored in the top 1% nationally on his surgical exams. Training in a county hospital setting requires a great deal of responsibility for surgeons in training, which allowed Dr. Silver to reveal his strong sense of duty to his patients, as he gracefully provided care while honing his skills. He was recognized as an Outstanding Physician Role Model with the 2013 Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award, and subsequently inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Silver is also a nationally and internationally published author of multiple medical research articles.
